Gurr, Tina appointed to Nevada Real Estate Commission

The Nevada Real Estate Division recently announced its latest appointments to its five-member commission. Elko's Lee Gurr will serve as the state's rural appointee to the commission. Her three-year term will run from Nov. 1, 2021 through Oct. 31 of 2024. Gurr is the broker/manager of Realty 500 Gurr Associates and has been with the firm for 36 years. She is a past President of the Elko County Association of Realtors and is an expert in dispute resolution and mediation.

Additionally, David R. Tina will fill a Clark County seat on the Real Estate commission. Tina is the broker/owner of Urban Nest Realty, a firm he co-founded with his son in 2012. The long-time Realtor is a New York native. He served as the President of Nevada Realtors in 2016. Tina's term runs Nov. 1, 2021 through Oct. 31 of 2024.

Commission rules say three members must reside in or have a principal place of business located in Clark County. One member must reside in or have a principal place of business in Washoe County; and one member must reside in or have a principal place of business located in Carson City or Churchill, Douglas, Elko, Esmeralda, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Lyon, Mineral, Nye, Pershing, Storey or White Pine County.

Nevada's Real Estate Commission is appointed by the governor and acts in an advisory capacity to the Division, adopts regulations, and conducts disciplinary hearings.
