2022 NAR Annual in Review

Nearly 100 Nevada REALTORS® members made the trek to central Florida last week to attend the National Association of REALTORS® Conference and Expo. The event kicked off at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando last Thursday (Nov. 10) and continued through the weekend with governance meetings, industry-specific classes and presentations and wrapped up Monday with its annual fall Board of Directors meeting.
NVR members held 82 NAR committee appointments in 2022. Those committees ranged from Consumer Communications and Insurance to Finance and MLS, as well as everything in between. Those committees wrapped up their 2022 work with end-of-the- year meetings in recent days. Another highlight of the event was the installation gala of 2023 NAR President Kenny Parcell. During the ceremony Nevada REALTORS® 2015 President Kevin Sigstad was installed as the 2023 Region XI RVP.
NVR hosted its Nevada Nite Out dinner on Nov. 9 at “Fogo de Chao,” honoring state members attending the conference and volunteering their time to serve the association. At Sunday’s state caucus, NVR members who served on NAR committees gave reports on their committee work. The state caucus meeting was followed up by the Region XI caucus.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our hard-working state members who volunteer their time away from their day-to-day business, to serve the state and national association,” 2022 NVR President Doug McIntyre said. “It’s exciting to see so many of our members engaged in the industry and giving of themselves to make it better. NAR’s annual conference always proves to be a great place for our members to shine and show their colleagues across the country how Nevada continues to be an industry leader.”
